The Louisiana State Police has a rich and proud history with the resounding motto of “Courtesy, Loyalty, Service” which, to this day, provides inspiration and direction to one of the finest law enforcement communities in the United States. The LSP emerged from a highway commission in 1922 with a force of 16 men on motorcycles patrolling the estimated 2,700 miles of roadway weaving throughout the state to the present force of over 1,000 men an women dedicated to the citizens and visitors of Louisiana, and are responsible for all elements of criminal and highway safety interdiction in the state. The “Thin Blue Line” Flag is 12-inches by 23-inches with the Louisiana State Police Logo over the stripes. The flag is black with natural wood “white” stripes. The “Thin Blue Line” is hand painted a brilliant blue color. The entire flag is then covered in epoxy (top and sides) for protection (1/8 inch thick). – Please note, all orders will take a minimum of 2 weeks to fulfill. These make great gifts for any occasion.
