Grant Parish is a post-Civil War Reconstruction parish that was named for then President of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant. The parish is made-up of 700 square miles of forest, pasture and farming lands. The Red River and its tributaries water the western part of the parish, while Little River the east. The parish is known for its hunting and fishing as well as its prairie and rolling uplands. The “Thin Blue Line” Flags designed for the men and women of the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Department show the distinctive Grant Parish Sheriff’s Department Badge over the stripes. If desired, the Deputy can also have their flag personalized with their name, title and the year their service to the community began. These flags make great displays of department pride just to have, for retirements or other special occasions.
